and yet you were pimping O's interim record in the other thread?

LULZ

people have actually lowered their expectations for O, which is the exact opposite of what we should be doing

You think Miles record would have been better if he stayed?

The biggest difference in Coach O and Miles

One had a record of success as a HC before getting the LSU job, won a National title and had one of the best runs in school history before he stagnated and refused to adapt.

The other was a miserable failure at Ole Miss, has never been above position coach.

I swear to god, this board is going to be as obsessed with Miles as it was (is) with Saban.

We fired him! He's gone! Must people continue to shite on him? It's like some of y'all are a bunch of jilted ex-girlfriends.

He's 63 years old. The oldest guys who got new head coaching gigs the past 3 seasons were Mike Riley at 61 and lovie Smith at 57 at the time of their hires. Guys his age have a hard time getting hired.

There's also much fewer job openings thus far this year.

Orgeron should pray to God that he has half the career Miles has had.

Biggest difference between LSU and everyone else... we hired coach O.

Just playing devils advocate since we're shitting on people for no reason.

Really? You think maybe the fact that the guys who have been hired are 20 years younger than Miles may have something to do with it? And houston hasn't hired anyone yet, it may be Kiffin but it may end up being Miles if they are looking for a guy who'll stay a while.

A few other differences. And for the record, I support Coach O, he is the coach of the Tigers.

Miles has a winning record as the non-intermediate head coach with 2 different power 5 teams, O has a losing record with one and yet to be determined with another (fully expect it to be a winning record at position 2).

Coach O has lost 23 SEC games in 29 total, 4 OOC in 12. Miles has lost 28 SEC games in 90 games total, 6 OOC in 58.

Joe Alleva fired Les Miles and hired Ed Orgeron. In 2005, Miles was hired by LSU to replace NFL-bound Nick Saban while Ed Orgeron was hired by Ole Miss to replace the fired David Cutcliffe, who was hired in 2008 at Duke by Joe Alleva. Bitch, let THAT sink in.

Les Miles I believe has a degree in economics from Michigan. He knew full well what he was doing.

So why can't he find a job?

So far nobody is willing to answer this question, they just keep bringing it back to O. Then there is the excuse that his age has something to do with it. Horsehit!

Nick Saban is 65, you think if he quit Alabama he wouldn't get an offer or two?

Les Miles' best years are behind him and everybody knows it. The game has passed him by.

You guys still want Todd Graham. I'm sure many of you were wanting him in 2009-10.
