I'll say this, if Texas offers Miles anywhere near ten million, I'd expect him to take it. If he didn't take it I'd take up a collection here in Louisiana to get his head examined.

I see your point, but you may want to add university to that.

FWIW, after the Cotton Bowl a few years ago, Miles took longer contract over more money.

Last year he screwed LSU for a $500k raise.

I guess he's on Phase I of Jimmy Sexton's "How to bleed your employer for every cent, then leave for somebody with more money" course. Saban graduated from Phase XX of that course years ago.

On a scale of butter in a frying pan to a chocolate factory in Hiroshima, how fast is your melt going to be when Saban turns down "the best job in the country"

Texas does not have an 18.2 billion endowment. That's for the entire UT system. Its more like 7.2 billion

he did no such thing. lsu was in no way forced to give him anything they didn't think he was worth. no one should blame anyone for trying to make more.

I know as a Texas taxpayer I am in favor of changing the Texas Constitution and allowing the sips to use their Endowment to buy Saban. Who needs that learnin' stuff anyway?

Of course afterward I suppose we would have to start paying Sumlin $20 mill a year too.

I was being sarcastic - I thought that was clear. $500k doesn't even pay Saban's landscaping bill. Other people in other threads were drawing a moral equivalence to Les' Arkansas flirtation and this Hiroshima/Nagasaki level, $100 million "F*ck everybody money" play that Saban/Sexton are making.

Thank you. Please drive through.

I've stated a few times that I think he stays. The fact that you BAMA posters go so far out of the way to try to convince anyone that isn't a BAMA fan that there's no way Saban would leave is entertaining. You go so far as to starting your own threads that no one but BAMA fans can post pleading not to meltdown or look bad. Then go and try to convince yourselves that our days revolve around praying or melting down of LSU fans.
