No. He's yet to have a 10 win season at A&M. In fact, he's averaged the same number of wins there in his first 4 seasons that Sumlin did in his. Even his best season at A&M wasn't very impressive. They were destroyed by Alabama. The best win was a 3 point win vs. Florida...only because Florid fumbled late in a 38-38 game to give A&M a short field to kick the game winning FG.

Is he a bad coach? No. Not at all. But relative to the financial commitment by A&M you could argue he is probably the most OVERRATED coach in CFB.

Perhaps. But the difference is to get Jimbo LSU would like have to pay him MORE than what Saban earns. Do you think he is worth that type of commitment? Miles and O both won NCs at LSU. If the only options are hire Jimbo, but in doing so be tethered to a LONG and expensive contract that is difficult to get out from under if he underperforms, OR hire someone with less name recognition, but with a reasonable parachute out if he doesn't perform, I'd take the latter.

No one outside of College Station, TX believes that. They had to give Jimbo $100M to convince him to live there it's so terrible.

TAMU isn't the only school with money.

A new twist.....intrigue.....hmmmm???? Woodward jumps ship....did not see that coming.....and the plot thickens.

They can access more money than LSU.The fact that TAMU has a 9 billion dollar endowment ought to tell you about resources available if the conditions are right. I know many don't want to believe that.

Aggots have always complimented their program’s lack of accomplishments with near endless amounts of delusion.

They aren’t regarded as a cult just because of their milk men and fake army… Even Jim Jones would be impressed with their particular flavor of kool aid.

What don`t people understand about building a program not
a team.Ya`ll do realize that Saban lost 4 games at LSU his
4th year as coach.Ta@m didn`t have the type of talent to
compete for SEC championships when he arrived. It takes
at least 4 or 5 solid recruiting classes b4 your ready.That
is if you can get the big uglies on both side of the ball.
Jimbo is building a contender and if he stays at A@M you
people who don`t like him are going to want to fire our
new coach when he loses to him.
