I was told by someone close to the Haslam family that Hart was interviewing Pelini in NY today. TIFWIW

I would have been fine with it. Not sure if I would have been "happy", because I usually don't get happy over "gamble" type coaching hires until I see what kind of foundation they are laying for the program.

Were you happy about Muschamp? I mean, he was a risk, too. I guess what I'm asking is did Strong's one year of HC experience actually hurt him because his record wasn't great?

The people around here seem to think Strong has the leg up, not sure what to think of that report other than it is likely happening very soon.

I said I wasn't "happy" with it at the time. Kind of "meh". After about 5 months with Muschamp, I could see the direction we were going, and I have been a fan ever since. That was before the season started last year.

JMO, but UTn would be making a mistake with Gundy. Does he even have strong ties to the South? He is a "meh" recruiter. I wouldn't be a fan of this hire.

Boom is legit, he has a #1 recruiting class coming in next year.

Not trying to blow our coaches horn, but he reminds me if a taller, younger Saban.

I agree. He is an infinitely better hire at Arky than Tenn.

I think Strong is a good fit at Tenn, and Gundy is a good fit at Arkansas.

Strong recruits FL,GA, etc.

Gundy recruits TX,OK, etc.

He really should have won SEC coach of the year this year. Amazing the job he did this year with the Gators. He was spot on in every game with halftime adjustments. I see a SEC an National Title for the Gators coming up soon...
