That’s kinda what I was thinking, it was mainly Saban, an outsider that wasn’t a cultural fit that first locked down NOLA. he hired Burns when he went to Bama so maybe he thought it was different not being at LSU

Dude had recruiting violations as a high school coach and got his team stripped of two titles and two runner ups.

Mickey had limited receiving coach experience before coming to LSU. He had other position coaches like Ensminger or Brady helping with WR’s.

The position he would be filling is a recruiting first position and anything you add as a position coach is bonus. Splitting the DB’s with Raymond and Terry Joseph would work out well.
