2018 USC head coach

I am generally big Tee Martin fan and think he's an excellent coach, but USC is now going to be playing Bama with a first year HC, first year OC, and first year QB. Prayer sent.

Bama will be replacing basically it's entire front seven. Usc can easily wing that game

We'll be losing a lot of players/coaches too I'd say.

New QB to boot.

Meh hire, but I'm ok with it. I"m more concerned with who we hire for defensive coord and O line coach.

Clay Helton looks like 'the real deal,' IMO.

I don't follow USC as closely as a USC fan does, but I really think Helton will be successful at Southern Cal. If Tee Martin is the head coach in 2018, it's because Helton will have gone to the NFL, IMO.

RLDLSC Fan, is there still talk about Coach O here heading out west again to be the DC?

Great recruiter, but back when he was on UK's staff he was one of those worst position coaches we had. And that's saying something.

USC's receivers have been our most consistent position since he's been here. Woods, Lee, Agholor, Juju

He's never run an offense. I'm guessing Helton wants to run the offense.

Promoting Martin was a way of rewarding/keeping his most valuable recruiter. I don't know how good/bad Helton is as a play caller, but if you're going to choose a yes man for a position, this seems the way to go. Stacking the offense with talent won't hurt Helton's rep as a play caller.

That's not nice. He lead you to more national championships than Peyton ever did.

his value as a recruiter is what got him this position...

LSU may end up having to do the same with Frank somewhere down the line....
