I know nothing of his coaching abilities, but he appears to be a pretty good recruiter.

the porter talk was prob just people throwing shite out on here... wouldn't be mad at all if gonzo left. im surprised dooley hasn't gotten Tee Martin on staff yet somehow.

I've seen several people on these boards (reputable posters) refer to Porter as a cancer. What is the back story on that?

I believe Tee turned them down last season, not sure what the circumstances were. I want to say Bama made a run at him too.

Porter is a pretty divisive personality, wasn't exactly the most popular guy amongst the staff and definitely not with many of his RBs. We seem to have pretty good staff chemistry, I'd hate to ruin it by bringing him back. Let Porter's recruiting rep get him a job elsewhere.

Tee interviewed this year, but Tennessee hired Jay Graham instead. Tee is supposedly an awful WR coach.

I'd prefer Tyke Tolbert. We all know he isn't extremely busy right now (Denver WR coach).

I also looked at some small school staffs just to see who was out there. FIU's WR coach used to coach at like 4 different high schools in Miami and has turned TY Hilton into a pretty good player. He would have actual connections in south Florida. I know nothing else about him other than what I read in his bi on FIU's site though.

Has Tyke qualified for his NFL pension yet?

I don't know, he was with the Bills for a while. I think him and McGaughey both helped with ST in Buffalo. I think it only takes 5 yrs to become vested, but maybe that's just for players and it's longer for coaches.

ETA: His time with the Bills doesn't matter anyway, according to this: LINK They don't participate in the coaches pension anyway.

Also, I'm seeing smoke on Twitter about Gonzo to Illinois, not Louisville. His name being linked to this many jobs pretty much means he ain't coming back.

I'm not sure he is proven enough, I know he can recruit.

He was rumored to have interviewed, but I think he just used it for a raise.

I've personally wanted Tolbert for as long as I can remember. Would be an awesome pickup

Tee Martin is a bad position coach at Kentucky. Think about what you're proposing here.

What does the position he played in college have to do with what he coaches? There are alot of good coaches that never played the postion they coach. I don't know if he is a good WR coach or not, but what he played in college has nothing to do with it.
