seems weird to just randomly throw his name on this for no reason. Im the biggest Aranda fan in the world but the defense didnt exactly set the world on fire this year, I thought we'd be spared this

Because he started his career there under Leach.

If Aranda goes to Tech.

LSU should go after Pete Golding

what sucks is that he was a GA from 1999-2001, and Kingsbury was the QB from 1998-2002, so now Im living in this fantasy world where theyre actually friends and Os dumb arse might actually take advantage of that.

I think you’re more likely to see Aranda HC at Wisconsin when Chryst leaves, which may be as soon as next season.

I don’t think TT is in play unless he just wants to get the hell out of Dodge, which may be a distinct possibility.

They were pretty damn good. Anyone holding a 7OT game against him is silly

Dave can do better than Texas Tech. That's a coaching graveyard

Good for him. I hope he takes it.

Makes the inevitable firing of Orgeron happen much quicker.

He’d be my #1 target. Had a couple of top defenses with Frank at UTSA

He should hold out for a better gig than TT, he'd also have to completely overahaul the program

Can he?

He never played a sport in college

He has no idea what it’s like to be a student athlete

That and typically in coaching more attention and value is placed on the candidate's most recent jobs rather than their 1st. Just sayin

The only good thing that could come from this is getting Aranda some HC experience so he can take over after coach O.

Here's s scenario: O hires Kliff on Dave's recommendation and lobbying efforts, only to have Coach Kingsbury run the same Miles/Orgeron offense.

Tuberville is the only HC out of 4 they've had since 1986 who didn't last at least 6 seasons and he left for Cincy b/c he was a cry baby about how they wanted him to win like Leach.

If he has already lived there, why the hell would he want to go back?

With the state of OU's defense, this wouldn't surprise me at all and working for Lincoln Riley would be a major upgrade from tantrum throwing O. An Aranda defense coupled with OU's offense would be scary as hell.
