Did people really believe he was leaving after only 3 years with his golden child - Achilles - ready for action next year?

Doesn't even say he's not interested...

Even knowing all those facts, Spurrier’s name again will surface as a candidate for the LSU head-coaching job should Les Miles depart for Michigan as expected. Spurrier will, of course, deny any interest in LSU and again will proclaim he is happy at USC.

The writer said it, not Spurrier.

Uh ...it says “I’ve cast my lot with South Carolina,” Spurrier said this week, “and we’re going to try our best to get to the top some way, somehow or another, the right way.”

Pretty clear that he is not interested. This is more credible than any of the other BS that has been posted here.

Yeah and coaches are always 100% honest about their interest or lack there of in a job.

I'm still not reading the "not interested" in that.

So I suppose your one of those who thinks Miles saying "I'm just focused on the task at hand" is true....

NO, I'm able to read and SS said yesterday that :

“I’ve cast my lot with South Carolina,” Spurrier said this week, “and we’re going to try our best to get to the top some way, somehow or another, the right way.”

Read whatever you want into what he said. I see it as him (SS) not being interested in leaving USC.

Its not about reading comprehension.

Well no shite he implied he is sticking around SC. frick, the LSU job isn't even open YET.

But the question is, how much do you really trust what any coach says? You've already been cited numerous incidents in this thread alone...

He may be lying, but this article is much more credible than, "my brothers girlfriends uncles aunts, former roomate talked to a booster who knows skip who said that SOS is on board"

I would love to be proved wrong but the OBC (along with Del Rio and Gruden which is the most asinine thing i have ever heard) is not coming here regardless of what any dumb shite on the internet says.

Again, you can get whatever you want out of what he said. But, if SS did not take the Bama job last year, why would he leave this year for LSU. I think he has a point to prove at USC. Also, it is probably apparent to SS that the LSU fan base is nearly as delusional as Alabama's.

The fact is, openings at Duke and Baylor probably would be more attractive to Spurrier than LSU, Michigan or Arkansas. Wherever he is, Spurrier wants to do what no other coach has done.

Zeedustin knows what Spurrier is going to do more than Spurrier himself. Book it.
