Lou Holtz is retarded. Anyone who hates Hawthorne has no appreciation for how hard it is to call a play by play live on the radio. If you listn to the "voice" of a lot of other teams, you'll realize that we are lucky to have hawthorne.
Ill be pissed if the war chickens hang 20 on our D.

re: BCS Champion should be # 1

The pre-season polls are based on where a team finished the previous year and how many starters and key positions they bring back. That's it.

It has nothing to do with this year's schedule or anything else.

Also, pre-season polls don't mean much unless they don't chage until the BCS comes out. It can give you a jump start but also lays on the pressure.
Thanks Auburntiger - and I agree about Ono Island

What does a picture of a tailgate party at West Virginny have to do with the SEC?
The article never said it was sold out, it said they packed in 92000 fans for a spring game.

As far as I know, all spring games are free and thats an impressive crowd even though they advertised it a lot.

By the way, coming out and saying you're not jealous is pretty transparent.
I thought Vegas customarily didn't give odds on A vs. AA - I know online books are all in costa rica but they still get their odds from Vegas.

Did they change the policy after the Michigan game?

About 90 minutes before kickoff '97 Florida, a couple of gator fans had this HUGE sign made of a bedsheet. Can't remember exactly what it said, something about Spurrier's win streak, i think. Anyway those punks came over to the nearly full student section, about 30 feet away on the north endzone side. Being so early, few of those fans were there so mostly empty bleachers.

Anyway, these fools are waving the sign and yelling constantly. An LSU student then proceeded to run from behind them and run through it like he was Mr. KoolAid, and then threw it into the middle of the students. The flag was shreaded, the student evaded the cops, and the hours of work these guys spent to get on tv was ruined. Should've seen the look on those Gators faces.
I was a student when this happened and was in the crowd. Not only do I still have a piece of that sign (bedsheet), I still have purple and gold grass in a ziploc from the field after we charged it for knocking off #1 Florida!

Awesome memory!

The funniest part was when the Gator douche bags went to complain to the cops about what happened, an EBR SHerriff Deputy told the guy - "You taunted the LSU student section, what did you think was gonna happen?"
