Edit: and there's three investors dip shite. Saban is at 49.5%.

So, he's the biggest on that one? What about Slidell and Houston? There are rumors of others in Gumpville, too.

Do you honestly believe he's $40 million in debt?

its public record. and the $10m from the browns doesn't solve his problem. its the debt my friend. if Jamail is really paying that off, then that is a huge trump card

Goes both ways son. Y'all are acting like Bama fans are in denial of him going, when y'all are in denial of him staying. I wonder where all of the cockroaches will go when he re-signs his contract.

UT seems to be "Forcing" Saban to sat yes. Could they possibly be buying out his debts and hold them over his head in some way?

I haven't read the rest of the thread yet, but as soon as this all started coming to light, that was my first thought too.

This has been entertaining folks. It's been entertaining every damn year Nick's been at Bama - there's ALWAYS some NFL or big time college program gunning for Saban due to the success he's been able to bring to my alma matre.

EVERY year there's more and more demand for his services. Every year there are new kinks thrown into the mix to pull Saban away from Bama. Last year it was Cleveland offering +$10mm/yr AND part ownership. This year it's oil barron's assuming $40mm of Saban's debt to coach at UT........

I was under the impression that Saban's interest in Perkins Rowe was limited to an ownership interest in the entity that supplies chilled water. That entity was separate from the development that was foreclosed and sold at auction. The chilled water facility is guaranteed to make a profit, and by extension, so is Saban. The contract between the chilled water providing entity and Perkins Rowe is an area of contention for the new owners of Perkins Rowe since it is a valuable asset that Spinosa shielded from the original lenders to Perkins Rowe.

I think you may misunderstand my point of view, it is a train wreck however it goes, nothing will ever be the same
