They worried about fan reaction to such a hire? Let's show them a fan reaction. WE WANT BRILES

Yeah, because upvote/downvote polls apparently don't fly. Bur that was up to 150ish upvotes pro-Briles vs. 7 downvotes, so we need to get something rolling now.

You have to think that the administration is fairly good at vetting people from a legal stand point, and if they are that concerned that he will be a problem for the university down the road then they are not going to allow him to be hired. I can see where they are coming from with Briles. I mean the guy was at the school for one of the biggest controversies and black eyes on a university in the history of college football. No one obviously knows how much he was involved or had to do with it and I think he's a good coordinator and would probably improve the offense here a great deal if he was allowed to run what he wants, but I can't fault them for being worried about him becoming a legal liability later on down the road.
Them blocking out Freeze surprises me more than Briles being a no go. Freeze just called some hookers and his staff got caught giving money to recruits. That is far less serious than someone who could be implicated in covering up rape.
My point here is that I can't really fault them for being concerned about Briles.

Agreed. If everyone who upvotes, etc in these threads actually emails all these folks it can have an impact. That’s a few hundred people at least.
