Some fun tidbits for those who think CEO has revolutionized the LSU offense

NCAA Total Defense
I'd like to see some CEO lovers defend this.
Team ranks that LSU has looked "completely different on offense"
Southern Miss**: 19th
Arkansas: 77th
Moo State: 84th (Miles was coaching)
Ole Miss: 102nd
Missouri: 112th
Teams that have beaten LSU and we looked inept on offense:
Bama: 3rd
Wisconsin: 9th (Miles was coaching)
Auburn: 28th (Miles was coaching)
Teams yet to play:
Florida: 1st
Texas A&M: 98th
So, with all that said. Do you really find it that shocking how "good" this offense has looked under CEO? Did the thought that maybe those teams are just really bad enter your head?

You"ll get down voted to death for being the voice of reason.

Well in his defense, the offense since he took over has looked legitimately better. Better playcaling/sequence, execution, etc... You can't deny that.

No, the offense has not looked completely different. The ONLY difference has been personnel packages and formations. The plays and/or route tree have been practically identical. Just because they've looked different on the surface, doesn't mean they're actually different. And how was that play calling against Bama? How were those half-time adjustments?

As an LSU defender can I just say that at no point under miles has our offense ever ooked that good over a 3 game stretch...is that b/c of the defenses we faced or the fact miles was gone? I am sure in his 10 years we faced 3 consecutive shitty defenses before.

Oh, don't worry. The excuses for this will come soon. Get ready for "Well, O can't help what teams he plays" or "Well, O is getting a new elite OC. That's not on him" or "O will recruit a star QB and oline! That's Miles fault" or "Do you expect him to change the offense in a few weeks?". All the while giving him all the credit when something good happens or is brought to their attention.
And round n round we go...
And round n round we go...

To be honest I don't think the offense really changed. I think that they just taught the guys to execute better and not coast with the run game the first chance you got every game. It's just better coaching that's making the difference. What's sad is very simple changes caused this team to hit on all cylinders. For God's sake a TE coach is calling the offense. It's not Rocket science just executing simple play calls.
Now the defense is just a work of art Aranda is a genius

No coach can revolutionize the offense in mid season and without an OC.

So he's an improvement over Miles. You would think that would be a good thing.

Might I add the coaching staff has done a fantastic job with the hand they have been delt. I'm not talking anything away from them. Coach O was the perfect guy to tackle this task.

I prefer to use YPG and PPG, which doesn't drastically alter the rankings. But still:
Alabama - 2, PPG 2
Florida - 3, PPG 5
Wisky - 8, PPG 3
Southern Miss - 18, PPG 83
Auburn - 25, PPG 8
Arkansas - 77, PPG 76
MSU - 84, PPG 91
TAMU - 97, PPG 31
Ole Miss - 101, PPG 89
Mizzou - 110, PPG 70

We're missing 5 starters on defense. Coach O is about to be your permenant HC.

That's totally untrue. LSU had a nearly identical three game stretch last year.

You do realize how ignorant you are when you say our interim HC who's entire career has been on defense and specifically on dline has even tried to revolutionize anything on the offensive side of the ball. You sound like a HIllary supporter. The fact is coach O has only replaced an OC with all he had available to him on such short notice, A guy who hasn't been a coordinator in 20 years. Coach O has allowed the OC to do his job without interference which is a credit to his Head coaching unlike our previous 12 years. When you continually start threads bashing O eventually you run out of valid topics and you begin to put threads out that are ignorant just like this one. O is a defensive coach, he will never revolutionize any offense.

You're absolutely right. We have beaten everyone he's coached against and the one loss against bama was their biggest threat of the year. So yea, he fricked up and lost to bama. So has everyone else. Ya'll sound like a bunch of bitches your so scared O will get the job. I don't care if he does or doesn't because I know whoever we get will be better than what we've had and we were a coach away from the absolute top of CFB with the talent we have. What I'm not going to do is discredit a guy just because I don't like him especially if it makes me sound like an idiot. Which is running rampant in the O haters right now.

This is what scares me. Florida is a shell of what is was on defense because of injuries. Beating Florida and A&M is what LSU should do and the drum beating for O will only get louder.

You're right, so why are so many Coach O supports saying it? I've never once said this personally.

So exactly what is the purpose of keeping a defensive coach on a team that so desperately needs an offensive coach? And please, spare me the "elite" OC bullshite. Those guys don't grow on trees and the ones that are elite will end up being head coaches very, very soon. What value does coach O bring to the table?
