So, would Gary Pinkel's name be floated for the Washington job?

Interesting Finebaum dropped his name just now on his radio show.
Somehow, Pinkel has connections out west.

And this is SEC related, wanted to see want Mizzou fans thought of this.

I doubt it. He's turned them down at least once before.

Plus, he's 61.

Yup. He has serious connections to the state of Washington and that school. Could happen...

Why would he leave? He has his team rolling........finally.

Some tOSU fan today I was talking to said "OSU should be in the title game b/c the two bottom feeders last year in the SEC are now in this years SECCG - what does that say about your conference?"

Thought he went to Akorn…

But, has the connections with James.

Hmmmmm……

New additions to the program in Washington with the bells and whistles.

I know…but I doubt any Mizzou fan (besides one) would venture on it…

I thought it was weird for Finebaum to float that one out….but. I forgot Pinkel connections with Don James.

He is one of 5 mentioned here on the cover of the Seattle Times. He loves it up here still and often calls in for sports shows but don't see him giving up his spot.

Pinkel was an assistant at UW for over a decade. He has already turned them down twice. Not sure why he would consider them now. Just the media doing their typical Mizzou distraction routine. I thought we'd get through this week without that, but oh well.

I forgot to add they want Mora. Pinkel's name won't be brought up much after this week.

Did you not read the post above you…he claims Seattle Times has him as one of the 5 candidates.

Already stated Mora Jr has claimed interest in the job long time ago.

But, is UCLA gig to good for him to go?

Are you retarded? He is on their top 5 want list. to be a candidate, he would have to be interested.

And I forgot to add, again, UW sites reporting Mora has been offered the job.

Yes, the only reason they mentioned Pinkel was to distract Mizzou.

More like somebody throwing something out and hoping it sticks just like the media was leading up to USC announcing the Sark hire and just about ever other coaching opening known to man.

PInkel was also on the list for Michigan and tOSU when they were hiring. He wasn't interested then, and I doubt he'd be interested now. He just tied Don Faurot for most coaching wins at Missouri, and they named the field for that guy. I don't see him leaving Mizzou right now. I think he'll retire there. And he's setting Josh Henson up as the next potential HC. Not sure that would happen, but it wouldn't surprise me.
