The low IQ, "one of us," Orgeron loving portion of the fan base is going to have to really adjust to having a head coach who doesn't have to hire people to tell him what the fans think he should do.

Well, he did ask for a meeting with myself, Chicken, Dale Murphy, Speedy, and I AM GOD to go over a few things.

CBK has been a successful head coach everywhere he’s been. A big part of being a successful head coach is building a staff and knowing the best people to put on it recruiting and skill wise. The coaching world is a small one, a fraternity of sorts. Frank Wilson’s recruiting prowess and connections to Louisiana, specifically NOLA, are well known in coaching circles. Couple all that with the fact that Frank Wilson was previously at LSU and currently coaching right down the road, I’m sure CBK didn’t need much advising to go out and get him.

All BS aside hiring Frank was probably a part of that conversation he had with Woodward that inspired the "alignment" remark. It's an excellent example of what Kelly was talking about. The issues were obviously identified before BK was ever contacted and he was presented with solutions before accepting the job.

Probably no one. Brian Kelly is smart. He has been successful at every place he has been. Unlike the last coach, he doesn’t need to be advised on who to hire on his staff. He can figure it out on his own.

I don’t know but am sure he gets some advising. If I’m making 10 mil a year, I’m sure I have some good advising available.
However, I’m sure he knew of Frank Wilson and if not was reminded about him a few thousand times since getting the job.
