So no one thinks it’s Fickell?

I’m not arguing who the coach should be. It’s obvious that he is a top candidate for many jobs but has only worked in the Midwest (neither Saban nor Miles were SEC/southern guys before coming to LSU either so I don’t think that’s a real factor), etc. etc.

I’m more referring to the fact that many praise SW for his (1) lack of leaks and (2) his ability to sign guys everyone wants. (Jimbo, Peterson, Kim, etc.) There’s also be so many posts about people thinking there’s already a deal in place. Most are about Riley, some have been about Jimbo.

However, Fickell has by far been the least talked about candidate of the bunch (aka no leaks). Has more skins on the wall than Aranda or Napier (two perceived front runners) as a HC and currently has Cincy ranked in the top 4.

A Fickell hire feels very Jay Johnson to me. Not the top resume but good experience and production with the ability to become dominant at a top tier program.
