Why does a USL person want to speak about an LSU hire?
Here is why:
Maybe he WANTS LSU to lose focus on who they should hire so they can take that person?
Maybe they are vetting him for potential?
Maybe they want an unproven coach in the worse groups of 5 conference that is barely above the FCS?

Because LSU has shown their arrogance. They think they are above these “middling coaches”. Reality has a big stick and is about to slap them in the face when they get turned down by Riley, etc. Aranda goes to USC. Napier goes to Florida and they end of up with Bill O’Brien.

There's actually very few posters on this board that seem that they would be disappointed if we were to hire Napier. It's just the same ones keep posting over and over again about how much they would hate the hire or at least feel disappointed

The same was true when Ed Orgeron was hired.

Because they weren't planning on firing Mullen until recently. Now that they decided to make a move, they're back of the line behind LSU and USC in regards to the big jobs.
They can't waste time exploring bigger names before the dominoes start falling, and somebody like Virginia Tech gets Napier first.
