Well....How many titles had Nick Saban won before LSU? Or Les Miles? Or Coach O?

An offensive innovator like Lane Kiffin could do amazing things here.

correct, but he isn't a unicorn.

Lousiana talent is the unicorn.

Sure Drink is a nerd but he’s not very good against top 25 teams either. Overall record: 7-16 against AP Top 25 teams Recent record: 0-6 against ranked SEC opponents in the last two seasons. This guy would not be a good hire for LSU.

And not worth $10mm + yearly

Kind of an odd thing to say with us having like 5 people from last years defense get drafted or signed to NFL teams while paying our DC the highest or 2nd highest salary in the nation.

Do you guys bother going any fricking research? Ole miss finished second in team defense last year, they’re currently in the 20s.

They don’t.

LK will bring back the excitement. His trolling ways will be loved here. Won't be a dude who eats grass, or rips his shirt and punches himself in the face or says that "we have to coach better" after every loss yet nothing ever changes.

5-6 vs top 10 since 2023?

I don't believe they've played that many ranked teams since he's been there.

regardless, he's great, but nothing I have seen should convince anyone he's the only choice that could win big at lsu

I watched beta Brian and House out coach him a few years back.

You say LSU shouldn't be paying Kiffin that kind of money then proceed to put him first on the list of coaches that could win here. You don't know ball.

That's right, that 1 year he did that...then let KY, FL, LSU score too many pts with a MUCH better team and missed playoffs.

maybe I say do not value in terms of going for it on their own 25 yd and not leaning on it.

I wouldn't call Les or O a unicorn, just my opinion. Yes- we are a talent rich state- and he would have more access to it being at LSU, obviously. Then there's the part about the guy's uncanny ability to find QBs- something we've been hit & miss on, in recent years.....

He'd have a lot more in the tool box than he had at Ole Miss.

Add the fact that all signs are pointing to Saban himself recommending him (and likely encouraging him) to come here.
I think we should cut the crap and listen.

There is more at play than someone else's 'money', we're talking about a coach quitting in the schools only playoff run, correct? Also one that is playing the victim while instigating the entire circus?

He is one of a number of coaches that would win big at LSU (I assume), but the point of him being at the top of an arbitrary list is to illustrate he's just one of many.

Why would a coach consider passing on their school's only playoff run? I assume it's for so much money you cant pass up (BK)... or he truly wants to be there and thinks he understands what's here? That's what we tried to convince ourselves with BK.

Alot of questions for the 'cant miss' target. Should seem clear to all ball knowers.

Like many here were doing last year, I question his focus on getting through a season where he has to play all the games.

Has he quit on the team? Pretty sure he is still coaching there. Seems like if the ultimatum is a real thing (which he has denied) it's Ole Miss that would be quitting on him. Coaches don't wait until the season ends to start looking at other job offers. That's not how it works.

He coaches OLE MISS. OLE MISS.

He's making OLE MISS lose 2 games a year. OLE MISS.

One of the shittiest big time programs in college football history. OLE MISS.

That is why people want him. How is this hard to understand. Plus he will never have a bad offense.

If you were describing a coach of a powerhouse (like Notre Dame), I’d say pass. But he has accomplished a lot at Ole Miss, considering where they usually rank.
