Complacency got the best of him

Gotta take a step and win the conference after all these good years

Not take a step back

Tech is headed in the right direction. Need a fresh face to keep it moving

I always felt he did a very good job at Tech. This was his first down year and lost a lot of talent.

Not sure about that. They were left out of conference realignment and the new-look CUSA isn't very interesting. Attendance was virtually nil even before the USM loss.

I don't think Tech really had a choice, but I don't see its overall situation improving very much, whoever is the next coach.

I am shocked Louisiana Tech pulled the trigger.

It must be worse than most realize. Holtz has never been able to develop a QB and had to rely on the transfer portal.

Holtz did one thing well…he sent a ton of men to the NFL while in Ruston.

Thank God!

Man never had his team prepared to play all 4 Quarters of Football. I know I don’t know shite, but I do know La Tech politics (read Davison owns their arse) and I’m hearing from some big time boosters that they are actively looking at Dan Mullen. Holtz and CUSA have been disasters for Tech as of late. The orders came to remove Holtz after the embarrassing loss to Mississippi State. Also heard his goofball Father meddled too much.

Tech will land an Offensive Guru like always. And they’ve got talent there.

Tom Herman would be a good fit

Kendal Briles would be a good target. Any up and coming coordinator or fired P5 coach would be a logical response though.

Not a big fan of his, but that's the kind of direction I predict.

Maybe KC Keeler. National. Championships at multiple schools and has been recruiting Texas for the last few years.

He's 32 and in his first OC assignment. I don't think he's ready.

Well that wasn’t too smart. Skip is probably the best Tech can do. Their pride will get in the way of this coaching hire, watch.

They won 6 straight bowl games. Not the best move.
