Did Aranda sign an extension?
if not, it has to be him or BOB.
We are not waiting on a NFL coach that is still working and hoping he leaves his job. that makes no sense.
And the smoke screens on Riley i believe were not smoke. I think he declined this weekend.

This is absolute bullshite because he was even saying yesterday it would likely be announced Monday. Shea was regurgitating the same shite all the other insiders had. Riley agreed to deal, he would ink it soon after, announced Monday.
You know what the play here is? They got fricked and Woody whiffed big time. There's no great smokescreen for someone else, this is complete damage control. Know how we know this? Not only was everyone connected to the program reporting the same thing, they were telling recruits Riley is your next HC. You don't tell recruits who your next HC is unless you know. And obviously, they thought they had their guy.
You don't give a smokescreen like this out to create bad PR for your university. Wake up. Colossal frick up job. Stop denying what's staring you in the face.
They're either scrambling for a Plan B now or creating a Plan B. Hopefully they already had a Plan B in place.

I trust him I terms I’d this being so tight lipped. That’s why all the LR stuff was nothing but internet rumors. Sound like it could be a week or so, before anything happens. That part sucks, but hopefully that means is a big name. It Marks Stoops, or BOB aren’t hired today or tomorrow, those rumors will fizzle out imo. LSU could hire either I’d those two today, I’d that’s who Woodward really wanted.

The OP explanation falls under the category of “perhaps.” It also sounds like a bunch of bullshite floated to cover Woodward fricking up. Don’t forget, Dixon’s wife works for the LSU athletic department. He’s not going to say anything critical about Woodward.

I think we're looking at this the wrong way. I believe high up boosters BELIEVED Riley was the top target. I also think they knew how much money Woodward has to work with. Woodward's confidence led then to believe he had landed Riley and the rumor spun from there in the money circles.
I truly believe TBL and others have actual sources among high level boosters, but I also believe they were running with incorrect conclusions.

Perception-wise, Kelly, Dabo or Ruhle would be seen that way by the media. I doubt it’s Kelly or Dabo, but it could be door number 3.

He wasn’t a smokescreen. They offered him. He probably looked promising. It didn’t happen. Nobody was misled. It just didn’t happen.
