re: Shane Waldron as PGC?

It's obvious O and staff have no intention to just settle and possibly slide back to the old style offense. They are taking their time and looking at every possibly option to optimize our talent and although we don't know if the offense will continue with similar success we should be optimistic that we aren't going back.

Amen.

re: Shane Waldron as PGC?
I think it’s just more likely they wanted to wait until after signing day to announce a hire

I agree with your thoughts. I imagine a hire will definitely be made before the end of the week.

Just my opinion but i think O will role with E as the OC/PGC with some assist from the newly hired analysts on that side of the ball. He has great affinity and respect for E and mentions him as the MVP last year, although almost everyone else in college football and fans as well as the Broyles committee felt otherwise. I think O thinks E absorbed enough from Brady to run the ship with input and wants to prove his claims of 19' being a combination of Brady and E but E being the real MVP.

re: Shane Waldron as PGC?
Respectfully, I believe you're wrong there.

Orgeron is going to want to play the long game here. He knows Coach E will retire soon, and wants a young guy that can learn to OC in the booth from the veteran Ensminger.

This is what he wanted for Brady, but the plan changed because of Brady's success. Brady moved on to the NFL where he really wanted to be.

It's why I think Munoz would be good as the PGC. He's already spent a year in the booth with Ensminger and Brady, has absorbed the routine, and is still young enough that he could be ready to step in as OC in a couple years when E is ready to hang it up.

I'm not necessarily endorsing Munoz as who would be my sole pick for the role but it makes sense. There are other coaches who could step in as well. My point is that Ensminger will retire very soon. And I'm thinking that O wants his replacement already on board for continuity.

re: Shane Waldron as PGC?
Respectfully I hope you are correct Sir. Just seems to be a lot of time taken for someone who O said would not be in the exact same role as Brady with respect to implementing schemes and such and wanting a good fit.

So LSU is just going to coach one man short?
You do realize Jerry Sullivan was PGC the year before Brady?
Why has he interviewed 3+ people if he's not hiring anyone?

He's not giving up on that one

Also said they have until spring ball to make a hire. No rush at all.

re: Shane Waldron as PGC?
Seems very clear he is playing the long game here - not simply hiring a pgc- looks very much like he is building the next offensive staff which he should - I do believe the plan was for co-oc next year then all Brady with an E retirement/title change the following year - he had to reset earlier than expected but looks like the plan/vision has not changed
