Seems like the ones feeding real information to “insiders” only knew the agent

And most did not think Kelly was attainable because of the situation he was in at Notre Dame and Riley was the obvious choice Being the young up-and-coming hot name in Coaching, so in this fast-paced world they were blinded by the hot name and couldn’t see what was right front of them just by following Woodward’s past coaching hires. So it’s obvious we do have some real insiders on the board Close to the situation and I thank them for bringing their knowledge here for free

This is so wrong it is like a 12 y/o crafted it. Are you 12?
Go read past threads and one from me on 10/26. None of these dumbasses knew a damn thing and Riley was not someone considered for WEEKS. SWW made that clear. Look at the Jay Johnson hire and this one next time. Coaches like Kelly move and in fact moved before during an undefeated season at Cincy.

I never said Riley was a possibility! I just said Some people knew the agent involved, because they both had the same agent and no one thought we could get Kelly because of his situation So they didn’t even entertain the kelly name, so Riley was the obvious choice to them

It's a complete coincidence that Riley and Kelly have the same agent. The insiders named all younger coach's, basically throwing darts at a board. They DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING and if they have "sources" they were fed a line of BS because the sources knew nothing.

But there’s a few that was adamant it was Lincoln Riley the whole time and that’s the very few I’m talking about that has real information. Tiger lawyer Must’ve had a lot of knowledge in past hires For some national media to be bringing up his name and Tiger droppings about Riley

They haven't been around since the epic failure and only 1977 has the guts to come back. He is still citing "all the hot names" and says it's being discussed, or that he's heard. Here's a newsflash, we have all HEARD that the best DC's and OC's are being discussed but 99% of the people posting don't claim to be "in the know, or have sources".
Nothing against them, but they had this board so fired up that media players were even listening.

The only real lesson of note in all of this is that "media" were reading TD and then putting info out as original sourced.
To mask it, and this is what makes it even funnier, is they would make up contradictory reports based on made up message board info from fake insiders.
TD says Riley is coming... media reads that and puts out just as fake report it isn't Riley, it's BoB.

I think some of the insiders are getting a bad rap. Some were obviously just outside the inner circle or acquaintances with those who are. That’s more inside than most here. The inside circle was just really tight this time.

castorinho - is an OU fan. His claim to insider fame were OU boosters, who have now been proven to be totally clueless, because Riley had been working USC for weeks. Yet they told castorinho that it was known he was leaving for LSU. The boosters either trolled him, or he made it up
TBL - as well as Mako, Vol, pharmadino, Vanilla, Unlucky, LSUtigers9458, Tiger Sniper, etc all were buying into the Riley BS. And actually feeding off each other. I suspect they were getting their info from Orgeron/Ponamsky peeps who thought Riley was the #1 target, and were trying to sabotage it. None of them had any legit sources into the Woodward group
German - and Tequila (aka DA) clearly said from day 1, that it wasnt Riley. But they never knew it was Kelly, so their insider access was limited
League champs - always said Jimbo was the #1 target, which we keep getting reports that was in fact the case, until Jimbo took himself out. Then Scott went full on BK
rmdlr - DMAG and a few others had a hard on for Billy boy. There was never a push in his direction, so Napier never had any insiders
LSUCharles - not sure where he was coming from. Aranda was in the same boat as Napier. There simply was no true inside info on either
Tiberbait1977 - This guy is a total fraud. Even after Riley was clearly out, he still claimed the ink was dry and the deal was still on. He was just poring over the Riley speculation, and rushing here to post it as his inside sauces. I dont understand why someone requires affection from unknown peeps like he does. It way too weird
Said all this to say that Trace would have pushed Riley to LSU in a different forum if he was truly involved. Pinning your hopes that an LSU message board would generate enough interest is weak. The Riley rumor wasnt going anywhere had it not been for Orgeron/Ponamsky insiders fanning those flames thru gullible posters on here

My guy said Riley wasn’t being pursued from the get go…but he was flat arse wrong on it being Aranda though. I think it was just a lot of speculation going around and people convincing themselves of what they wanted.

Strong chance that at least a couple people were just conducting an experiment to see how long it would take before a rumor planted here made its way into a mainstream reporter's twitter space as "I'm hearing that," and then on to somewhat legit media outlets.
