“I've been recruiting all week,” Frost said last year upon taking his name out of the running at Oregon. “[One day,] I drove to a [nearby] town in Florida, recruited and was back in Orlando that night. [The next day,] I drove to another town in Florida and was back at home that night. That's a lot different than flying all over the country and sleeping in a different state every night.”

Another reason I believe this is one of a few jobs Kelly would take because of how much time is involved.

He's on record saying the NFL schedule and commitment is favorable over college. However, is he getting another job in the NFL as a coordinator or what?

At Florida recruiting is much easier, obviously.

To those who understand the Nebraska culture, no explanation in needed; to those who don’t, no explanation will do.

You obviously don’t understand it; Frost does, being born and bred. You’re in for a huge disappointment.

You are being such a tool. Just saying. Your melt will be glorious when he doesn't come to Nebraska.

It’s not about the culture at Nebraska. It’s about what Frost wants from his job . If he wants to win championships, have easier recruiting then he goes to UF . If he prefers to coach a school he played for over Winning then he goes to Nebraska. Anyone who picks Nebraska over an elite program doesn’t have the competitiveness to be at a elite program. He may not even have less pressure at Nebraska if you guys actually expect him to win conference championships.

How come Florida failed to get the right head coach the last 3 times? I guess being the AD there is the one to get it fix first!

I just lol at the idea that you think Florida is so much better than Nebraska. The path to a conference championship and potential playoff berth is easier in the B1G than the SEC. But like I said, go ahead and keep trying to convince yourself that Florida is better. The only thing it’s better for is recruiting. That’s it.

Ok...

Florida
Nebraska

It's easier to get past Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State with Nebraska talent than it is to get past Alabama, Georgia and LSU with Florida talent?

This might be the craziest thing I've ever read. Yeah, "that's it" -- it's also the single biggest factor in whether a coach succeeds or fails at the college level.

Perhaps. That said, Frost is going to Nebraska. Can't wait to read your collective comments after that happens.

Well, considering that most of our talent comes from out of state, yes. We've beaten all 3 of those teams in recent years: won our last two vs. Michigan (2012/2013), beat Ohio State in 2011, beat PSU the last four times we've played them (2003, 2011, 2012, 2013).

We also have more wins over the past 10 years than Florida. The Gators haven't done anything of merit since Meyer and Tebow left.

What point? the fact that Neb is in a weak division where even going undefeated may leave you out of the playoff hunt?

If Frost is afraid of competition, then he is more than welcome to look elsewhere

I would think most Nebraska fans are aware UF is a much better job. There's no debate

You're incredibly naive if you actually believe that. Even a 1-loss Big Ten champion is pretty much guaranteed a playoff spot.

I'm not debating that. But in this particular case, that has little to do with his choice.
