True, but most coaches want to win titles, and offers from big programs dont come along often. He goes to Nebraska and wins 7-9 games a year, he pretty much sealed his fate as an avg HC. Always wonder what if?

I can't imagine Fla is all in on Frost without discussing or vetting other candidates that might have an interest.

Success at UCF does not translate to success at Fla in the SEC

This was my thought. He might be a hot candidate, but I don't know if his 2 years of success would immediately tell you it would translate to SEC success. Meyer had at least 4 years, so basically twice the HC experience.

Not saying Frost wouldn't be a good hire for Florida, but I do think it's more risky than a proven HC such as Mullen, Kelly, Petrino, Miles, Gundy or another named coach they would draw interest from.

I really don't want this to happen. Since Tennessee insists on waiting until the other options are off the table, I have to root for Nebraska here.

If not Frost, I'd take Gundy. The more I think about it the more I like him. QB guy, explosive offense and has HC experience. Proven

I would think Gundy would be your first preference. He would be a homerun hire.

It's early.

Usually, we see a lot of early reports about coach A or coach B being the "#1 target" and then end up with them not even being interviewed later on.

Floridas first call has to be stoops. Has to be

Then I would call Gundy, would be a perfect fit

After that, a guy like frost would be a good hire

Checks alot of boxes, but I wonder about his recruiting. Yes he has HC exp, a wide open Offense and is pretty good at developing QB's but again, recruiting the state of Florida is a big requirement.
I wouldnt be mad with the hire.

Imo he is the guy. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if a deal in principle has already been made. UF didnt push Mac out the door to get a head start for Mike Gundy. Just my .02

Yeah. I think the fit, timing and $s align extremely well for UF and Frost. I think it'll be a quick slam dunk hire -- set up behind the scenes, then signed off and announced after UCF's last game.

Nebraska competes with minnesota and wisconsin, not the eastern powers.
Win division, happy fans. His problem is getting texans.
Nebraska should go back to the tex12.

The ad, now a goner, thought being in b10g meant recruiting chicago hoops. Didnt happen. Just lost the texans/ football.

Did a little research into this and it is impossible to tell for sure but looks something like $12M from what I have seen.
