-"We are told South Carolina’s administration has spoken with Texas A&M defensive coordinator John Chavis. It would not be a huge surprise if he ended up in Columbia in some capacity, but things have to play out."

He's nearing retirement, so it makes sense.

That's why LSU should've humanely put down Les. Then he and Chief could've reunited to retire in South Carolina, where all coaches go to retire.

Wants out of the West so he does not have to face LSU every year.

Chavis struggles against power run. By going to aTm he traded losing to Alabama to losing to Alabama and LSU.

That really is funny but more times than not the blame fell on the offense... But I get what you're saying, most of our losses came from power running teams.. Bama and arky come to mind

Chavis is from Dillon, SC so it may be one of those come home and coach out the rest of the career type things. It doesn't seem too crazy.

You would think they would want to find a head coach first

The only question is will John Chavis pay his buy out to A&M and since he didn't accept A&M paying his buy out will he pay that shite out of his own pocket now to LSU lol.

Re his buy outs, he could have 3-4 lawsuits going at same time in 3 different states. As best as I recall, his family never moved to La, and, presumably, College Station as well? So, that being the case, he might want to return to his roots?
