I think we should be able to pick the best of the best for LSU. What i do know is I wouldnt run it back next season with a BK guy in Flint. If we can't make a homerun hire, id rather just give Connor Neighbors a shot. Hes a former FB for Les at LSU and the head strength and conditioning coach at ULL but also worked under Moffitt after his playing days. Id rather try for a bigger name but if we miss, I'm going for Neighbors to make sure Flint doesn't return.

The story behind A&M getting Tommy Moffitt started at Duke. One of the S&C guys who previously worked for Moffitt years ago was hired by Elko at Duke. He called Moffitt and told him he would like Elko and the type of program he runs. After being embarrassed by LSU he only wanted to consider working for a coach he could trust. None of what Moffitt has prioritized fits with Lane Kiffin. I’d be more worried about him going back if you made a high character hire

I mean Tommy Moffitt has a coaching tree just like Saban. I'm sure there are more Moffitt protoges out there than just Scott Cochran that you can go after.

Nah, tough is what we were. Those Miles’ teams however relied too much on toughness and in so doing we became ultra-easy to prepare for. Pick a phrase: hard-nosed, smash-mouth, whatever doesn’t carry the day when you’re going against Saban.

Thanks for your opinion Raoul, now GTFO.

Spewing sanctimonious bs here. Doesn't surprise me though, aTm generally thinks their shite doesn't stink

That guy is so full of shite it's probably best to ignore him. I fell for the bait. He thinks he talks a good game, but he's just another fan with little-brother syndrome.

Multiple players have said that Orgeron set a tone of laziness after the title in '19. The lack of preparation we saw in '20-22 was not on Moffitt

Got dominated a few times by teams other than Bama in the later Miles years also.

I think people have some revisionist history when it comes to that time period for whatever reason.

Moffit's teams looked bad at the end of both Orgeron and Miles era. Was it him? Who knows but pretty much everyone was saying get rid of him. There was several years in Miles final 5 or so years where we looked poorly conditioned. It was not lack of talent. Same in Orgeron. Maybe it was preparation by the coaches but nobody can deny S&C needed an overhaul by the time Orgeron was done. Maybe he got complacent and TAMU pissed him off.
