re: Sam Pittman in 2019 is not Ed Orgeron in 2016 (more like O in 2005)

With McMillan running the show in that Ensminger offense? I’m not sure about that

Lot's of hypothetical bullshite being posted by posters that hated the O hire.

O knew we needed a better QB than McMillan, so he went and got a better QB.

O wanted a better offense this season, so he got Brady on the cheap to help Ensminger.

If more situations call for it in the future, maybe O will continue making good decisions as he has been doing.

Where would Day be if Tate was his QB?

You can’t take Burrow away from him. He had to get him because Miles couldn’t recruit QB

I know y’all don’t like O but what a weird hypothetical guys

And to say miles left him with a full cupboard is funny

lastly, the "Orgeron blueprint" was almost over last year. if OSU chooses Burrow or if Burrow doesn't choose LSU, then it's very likely O is fired last year. we would have been utterly terrible on offense and likely a 5 or 6 win team (hence why those were our projections last year pre-Burrow). so even the model you're trying to copy is not the best decision making, because that model was on the brink of collapse and required 2 miracles (Burrow, Brady) to be saved. you think Arkansas and its inferior talent and coaching will be able to seal the deal on a Burrow-level talent? over OU? LSU? etc. c'mon

This is the truth.

Goes to show the difference between disaster and unqualified success. So much of this is timing.

Ed O is going to be a good excuse for a lot of programs to make bad or cheap hires over the next 5-10 years

This is also right. It's a copycat league.

Probably a big reason why USC decided to keep Helton. They figure they can just make a few tweaks with the assistants and boom, championship run.

yeah i'm thinking they win 7-8 with mcmilan at the helm

we won 9 regular season games with Burrow

Auburn and UGA are 2 almost auto-Ls without burrow, so that's 7

all we need is 1 more W-to-L to get to 6. TAMU is the easy target, but we barely beat Arky and I'm not sure if we beat Miami with McMillan starting his first game

Sam could be.
Without JB what is LSU, an 8 win team??
We'll take 8 wins right now and hope a JB type player falls in our lap.
