Saban left for the NFL. Lane is leaving for LSU. Both are steps up.

Saban regretted leaving.

To see one of his own from the Saban tree go there and finish what he started , would be something insane

I think y'all are romanticizing about Saban's feelings toward LSU.

He was on GameDay a couple weeks ago and stated he was t sure lane needed to leave ole miss

He literally said that his biggest career regret was leaving LSU.

He regretted going to the NFL. Lane isn’t going to the NFL.

My point is he regretted leaving LSU for the NFL because college is a different game than the NFL. He seemed to do really well at Alabama. Comparing the two situations is apples and oranges. Saying that Lane will regret leaving Ole Miss for LSU whenever all you have to do is point to the fact that LSU has only 15 commits and is 9 spots higher than Ole Miss in the recruiting rankings in their best year ever is wishful thinking on his part. If Lane crushes it here then the chances of him regretting his decision are zero.

By all accounts Saban has been one recommending LSU but just a weird situation with an 11-1 historically significant Ole Miss team.
