What is it about you UGa posters wanting your rivals to promote interims

Actually I agree with you about Key - he seems like a perfect fit for the job, and would probably be give some time to build the program his way. His resume is impressive.

I’ve shared my opinion a bunch. He inherited a program that was built into a monster by Joe Moglia.

Joe was a really good coach, but lets not try and act like he was nearly as successful as Jamey in the Sunbelt.

When JC was intern-losing record
JM in 2018 comes back and losing record
2019 under JC- losing record

so not like JC had some massive base to still work with. they only had 1 winning season as FBS program and that was when they were independent and didnt play a single FBS oppenent in 2016

JC essentially had to rebuild that program once he took over. Not to mention JC was just as successful as JM in FCS and also had a very successful stint in D2 at North Greenville where he had to rebuild the team and improved them every year.

When JC took over coastal in 2019 JM had run the roster into the ground and they were last in the conference in team talent rankings from last to 8 to now they are 3rd in total talent

its 100% not like brian harsin at boise. BH took over a team and had worse records. at boise Peterson was 92-12 in 8 years, 84-8 his first 7. BH was 69-19 in his first 7.

at ark state went 7-5 after malazan had gone 9-3, hugh freeze had gone 10-2

literally everywhere BH has gone, they have gotten worse than the previous coaches tenure. every single place.

JC is nothing like that at all.

GT fan with stupid take. He's the winningest coach ever for UK. Teo 10 win seasons in the last 4. If we had any oline this year we are sitting 9-2. We aren't challenging Georgia, but that's about it during the last few.

GT fans are slanted b/c Paul Johnson owned Mark Stoops in the Taxslayer Bowl.

I think Chadwell would be a good hire, outside of the Flebone Option, he runs the most unique offense in the country so that’s a bit of advantage GT will have. Much like they had under Paul Johnson

i am with you. They continue to impress even after McCall got hurt.

They returned 4 started in 2022 and are primed to win the sun belt again. Chadwell is a good coach.

Really don’t understand why y’all wouldn’t make a run at Deion. Potential lightning in a bottle in Atlanta. But hey I’m just a guy on the internet.

Because he's a clown?

I personally wouldn't hire him at ANY FBS program, but he should at least go to a G5 school first.

Moving from SWAC to P5 is too steep of a jump for him. By my cursory research, no head coach in NCAA history has ever moved directly from the SWAC to the P5 level.

Even moving from a "good" G5 program to the P5 is a big jump.

It's crazy how universities can have the perfect person right there for the taking - and they can't adjust their mindset to what they see on the field.

I imagine search firms have something to do with it, but I mean damn...

I'd be thrilled if Kirby found a spot for Key on Georgia's staff.

Deion would have to magically help athletes skip the calculus requirement.

Beyond that, just because Georgia Tech is a university located in Atlanta doesn't mean it resonates with the culture of Atlanta.

Deion’s advantage is in recruiting. How would he be able to use that to the fullest at a school that is so academically-focused? That would be handcuffing him right from the start. In spite of the Atlanta market, it’s not the best fit for him.

I assume me was a lock for that job after the UNC upset. They were 1-3 and one of the worst teams in the country when he took over and he immediately beat a ranked Pitt team and proceeded to win 4 of 7 to have them on the cusp of bowl eligibility.

Your take on Chadwell and comparison to Hairsin is a bad one in my opinion. I’m very familiar with the Coastal program prior to Chadwell, and although he didn’t build it, he did elevate it to levels that no one expected.

Chadwell has been a successful head coach at all of his previous stops and Coastal is running his offense that he ran at previous places. The offense has had success and it’s unique. His style is a great fit for GT, who has shown that they need someone unique to be able compete in the ACC.
