Hearing from some alum that Dabo is the actual big time hire UT is looking at.

Haven't heard this before would be an interesting wrinkle.

Holy shite that would be glorious. But I can't believe that is who they are targeting.

Wow.

That would be a pretty good hire for them. What makes that more interesting is that its very clear Alabama is his dream job. So if he succeeds at Texas, would he leave for Alabama when Nick Saban retires?

Crazy if true, but there is no way Texas is going to wait for him to go through a playoff run to name their coach.

Dabo has done an incredible job, but I also think he has some village idiot in him and I'd be scared to give him the keys to Texas or Bama.

That's risky, fire a coach in December and wait until January to get a big name. That's how they ended up with Strong in the first place. Worked for Michigan,, but that's a different situation.

It'll be Herman at UT. It seems like that's been obvious for over a year now.

Heard they'll be all in on a guy with NFL and PAC-12 experience.

Jim Mora.

(Not really, but if we're talking world-burning scenarios this would have to be top of the list for them.)

Only problem is Dabo doesn't need to prove himself at UT to succeed Saban at Bama. He's already done so. Why risk failing at UT with their booster and admin conflicts?

Sounds to me like some want to be edgy by throwing out a name. Don't get me wrong, would be a great hire. But Herman makes so much more sense. I hope it's true though!

That would be a good hire but I can't see them waiting that long.

He'd have to be insane. That is, yes. Probably.
