Dabo is a lot more "UT" than Herman.

impressive record but what does dabo bring besides looking like most clemson fans? He makes better assistant hiring decisions then les did late in his career. Dabo just kind of rolls the rock out and recruits. Dabo is the CEO miles should have been.

could also be smoke because UT doesn't want to give Herman all of the leverage

I've heard that the big time boosters at UT are mixed on Herman. Dabo is the favorite for one of them and the only thing that they've agreed on is firing Charlie Strong. Several have offered to cover his buy out.

I just don't see him as some saban esque coach. He is the prototype CEO. He isn't some genius that is going to take over the o and make the x and o decision. I will give him credit for hiring a great OC and DC and then getting out of the way. Les ran up a stunning record early in his career at LSU by mostly staying out of things. When he did get in the way it was bad.

Honestly, if I'm Texas, I get Mark Dantonio from Michigan State.

Sure he's 3-8 so far this year, but he has 5 11-win seasons in the last 6 years including a playoff appearance and 3 conference titles.

Miles also hired Cam, Grimes, Crowton,BDP, and such. Half of our staff is elite the other half is bottom of the barrel. BDP has managed to shite on our special teams.

Also Dabo actually has a system or his oc has a system that fits his players instead of taking a dual threat shotgun kid and jamming him into his stupid offense.

Dabo would bring some much needed energy to a program that is severely lacking in it though. I think they also want a skin on the wall to feed their own egos after getting embarrassed last search.

So if he succeeds at Texas, would he leave for Alabama when Nick Saban retires?

Why do people always assume stuff like this? Oh look he went to Alabama, he's a good coach so naturally he'll go there when Saban retires, because clearly whoever the AD is at Alabama when Saban retires will only look at Swinney and naturally because he played at Bama, he will no doubt leave a program he's built into an elite title contender to take over for arguably the CFB coaching GOAT. What could possibly go wrong

Seriously, how many guys wind up coaching at their so called "dream job"?

or even a Herman, Jimbo type that can take over one half the ball.

Dabo needs both a great OC and great DC or at least good at one and great at the other. He isn't going to do the x and o side of things. He is proof that the CEO coach can still win. He is this retard looking goofy guy that kids like. He makes the correct decision to let his OC get players that fit a system.

I don't have a problem with the CEO coach and I was perfectly fine with Les being that if he didn't get stupid and refuse to fire Cam.

This is how I know half the people on this board are idiots and don't know sht about any of these coaches. Most of you idiots only go with a name that sounds hot because someone else said we should.

Gtfoh. Dabo and his staff would wreck sht at UT or LSU. His Clemson teams always play hard and can play with anybody. He damn sure kicked CLM a$$.
