Beilema (Arkansas) and Whittingham (Utah) both turned them down.

If you're going to fire a guy that averages 9 wins a season, you should probably make sure your top target is going to say yes first.

Nebraska handled the whole situation like a teenage girl. All emotion and no rational thought.

No you shouldn't. That's called pulling an Auburn. Then you have to try to unring the bell.

Give them a break, this is new territory for Nebraska.

Nebraska didn't necessarily fire Pellini because of his job on-the-field. They fired him because they were sick of his arse.

Already has a hard enough time recruiting at Utah, why would he make life harder especially since he's getting closer in the Pac 12.

Actually they have been there for most of a decade, they just didn't face the music until today.

Like it's been said, Bo was fired because he made an arse of himself and poorly represented the university. Dude makes Jimbo look classy.

Hence why I said they acted like a woman. Let their poor wittle sensitive emotions get in the way of having rational thoughts

this is the second time they've fired a coach after a 9 win season. They also offered the Arkansas coach both times and were denied.

Couldn't agree more, the once proud Nebraska is an also-ran now. And I truly believe the Riley hire is going to go down in flames!!!!

If they actually had a shot at Tressell, and I don't think they did, and didn't back up the truck for him that was their last grasp at greatness. That program is now going to be middle of the road Big Ten from now on with an occasional sighting every 5-10yrs or so.

They have 11 guys on their roster from Texas or Oklahoma. They also recruited California a ton which has been good to Nebraska over the years.
