Every offense runs the ball but what is the bases of his offenses. The spread xbox gimmick offense period that has lost against SEC defenses over and over in the last 7 to 10 years period.

lmao Yes, just completely ignore the situation Michigan was in when they brought RR in. Michigan was a dumpster fire even Saban wouldn't have turned around in 2 years.

Well, RR's WV team beat the SEC Champ in the Sugar Bowl. And this SEC Champ had just beaten the shite out of us in the SEC Championship Game.

He was on the right track at Michigan! I do not understand why alot of people consider it a failure- He inheireted a Big 10 team, with no players for his system, yet he won 4,6,then 8 games in thress years, the following year, hoke went 11-2 with Rich Rods players. I would say he was about to break out

because he inherited a 9-4 team, and had 2 losing years and one shitty one.

Also he won 3,5,and 7 games. you just gave him 20% more wins.

Zone read, RR's most recognizable staple, is a run offense.

It's amazing that people don't understand this. Meyer ran the same fricking thing at UF to 2 NCs.

Relax dude.

I didn't see any facts that you used to prove your statement, which was erroneous on its face to begin with as I just showed in a previous post. You already began to backtrack on it in your follow up.

You just came in here with an ironclad viewpoint and became hostile when challenged.

So you are saying Saban couldn't take a 9 win team and coach them to a winning season the next year?

So he improved every year?

I wonder if he had stayed how many games he would have won? Seeing that he had finally completing transforming the offense with his athletes.

We will never know. But we do know he won before Michigan and after Michigan.

You are over simplifying the situation to try and fit your argument and the end result is just showing how little you actually know of what you talk about.

Michigan hadn't had a losing season in 1967. And Rich had 2 in a row.
Michigan wasn't a rebuilding project, he should have been able to win more games sooner. 7-5 in year three shows it isn't going right.

He was a terrible fit for that program. They wanted a high profile guy - no Michigan - and didn't give him the chance to mold the program. 3 years isn't enough to revamp an entire mentality built over generations.

RR has proven his worth before and after. Michigan has proven their dysfunction before, during and after.

I am saying Michigan made a knee jerk reaction to a stupid loss, and it has been haunting them ever sense.

I remember they lost to Appalachian State, and that basically was what got Carr fired. It was a stupid 2 point loss that never should have happened. But the team didn't exactly suck.

It wasn't devoid of talent, it wasn't sanctioned, it hadn't had a losing season.

I thought Carr voluntarily retired. Has it been documented that he was forced out?

I disagree you play the system you are coached. maybe it takes you 3-4 years to get the players for that system, but a generational mentality argument is stupid.

I am sorry Michigan before Rich was better if not as good as Rich has been anywhere else.

Michigan is failing because they go after hot coaches vs good coaches.

Rich needs to stay out in the west coast conference, where they don't have defenses.
