I envision at least one of them winding up in Vegas, assuming the Raiders end up there. Just because seeing Rex/Rob Ryan end their career amid a controversy with either of them in Vegas, with hookers and blow sounds about perfect.

WTF? he has had two years where he made the AFCCG. 2009 and 2010 as a head coach.

HE is a very good DC.

during his tenure with both the Ravens and Jets, Ryan's defenses have never been ranked lower than sixth overall in the NFL and have allowed an average of 281 yards per game from scrimmage, second to Dick LeBeau's 277.4 yards per game. LeBeau is generally regarded as one of the best defensive coordinators in the history of the NFL

A 9-7 year and his 11-5, which I said was his good year. Other than that it's a bunch of 8-8 and worse years. His success came before he could fill the team with his decisions.

Obviously he has talent as a DC but I don't see his appeal as a HC. I would like to see an upwards trajectory or maintenance of a decent level of play. With him it's mostly been mediocrity.

Some people have coaching talent but they just can't manage a team.

When Rex's bravado wears out its welcome, all you have left is a very average head coach. He can't cash the checks his mouth writes, his seasons of relevancy are fading farther and farther away.

Those Jets teams had a LOT of money invested in "win now". It was a small window that eventually frickled the roster/cap down the line, and Rex couldn't cash in on those teams...

Rex should just be a DC. Rob needs to gtfo. How many times has he been fired now in the past couple years? 3?

If his last name wasn't Ryan, he would not have gotten his first head coaching job.

Looks like Lynn will get the full time gig. Not sure what to feel. I like Lynn, and I like that the Bills are looking for a coordinator instead of a recycled coach, but I feel like the HC search went about as far as Joe Aleva did.

Why? When was the last time Rex Ryan or Rob Ryan were successful doing anything in the NFL. Especially Rob. Thought Rex would get a longer leash. Must have been rubbing the wrong person the wrong way.
