Are FSU people taking any stock in these Jimbo reports?

I think many are. For sure more people are not as worried to see him leave this time around. If he can't turn things around the buyout is a huge concern.

There is obviously a lot of smoke around this, but the move doesn't make much sense to me unless Jimbo is just ready for a change of pace.

Where would this leave The Chief? While not really SEC caliber, he could be the defensive king in the Big 12.

Something tells me he's already recruiting for his next job. Will probably be on the phone with them Saturday before kickoff.

This could be a situation where a change would be good for him and FSU. I think things have gotten stale. No matter what he does he's gotta change his offensive approach

I think Jimbo is a great coach. But he hasn’t done much outside of the year he had a Heisman winner. He is good to get you 8-9 wins but I don’t know if he will light the world on fire at A&M. But our coach is Ed O so I don’t have a lot of room to talk.

Thanks Alleva.

You left out Herman at Texas, who we play in Texas Bowl this year and in 2019 and 2020 regular season.

I hope we get good at basketball quick.

Anything could happen, but there is a lot of smoke. Not worried - getting an upgrade regardless

He’s one of many sources, not the source.
I’m no Liucci apologist, but he’s as solid a source as they come.
You can laugh, but the guy is as connected w the athletic department as a non-high-level AD employee can be.

Poor guy is probably getting hammered daily with his friend getting fired soon. He won't have an inside scoop anymore with the next coach.

That would be the first time Chavis has actually recruited when it came to football in 20 years.

The only thing Chavis is recruiting is his next plate of food. I could also see his lazy, fat arse retiring.

Jimbo isn’t my first choice (has that Tallahassee immoral stench on him) , and taggart is a great coach. But you’re dumb as hell if you WANT Jimbo gone for taggart.

Taggart’s double lightning strike powerball peak is literally what you already have in Jimbo. He’s had one bad year. Guess what, everyone in the world has a bad year every now and then, except saban.

The FSU fans thinking they can do better is the most annoying thing to come out of this coaching carousel this year.

They must have Jimbo locked up.

If Jimbo stays he not only has to clean out his staff, but also make philosophical changes.

He has wasted the last 2 seasons. His antiquated approach to offense and staff hires are the main cause.

FSU would be a very attractive opening. A very talented roster coming back. Any good coach should win big there.

Taggart would boost a program that needs a jolt.

I have a love-hate relationship with Jimbo.. As much as I wanted him as LSU's next coach, I'm not sure he's really a Top10 coach. He's good, no doubt, but not Top10 consistently good IMO.

That said, I'd still welcome him with open arms. He's a winner ... well.... except for this year.

, the coaches threw caution to the wind, the team played loose, and beat a highly favored Texas team. Beating LSU in Baton Rouge would be a surprise, but not a shock, if that makes sense.

I understand that this is the CC board and not really the forum to answer your statement but clarification is necessary.

aTm plays close to the same ball every game. They are decent, but never really weak or strong. LSU plays up and down with the ceiling and basement getting consistently higher. The game will be decided by which LSU team takes the field. Will it be the sharks that embarrassed Auburn or the guppies that lost to Troy?

LSU will decide the game. aTm does not get a say so.

I hope your, and our, boys stay safe.

His results are top 10. Honestly over the past decade his results are top 2-3.

I agree he’s probably not the top tier developer or x & o coordinator, but saban once again is probably the only one in America that’s an A+ at those and recruiting. You’re looking for the cumulative.

I don't think so because that would be wrong. Does he have any track record of acting in such bad faith? He would never mistreat a school that had treated him like a king, would he?

Oh wait....Never mind.
