The SEC generally tries to discourage coaches from jumping from one league school to another, tho there is no league rule against it.

I'm leaning towards Herman a bit higher than Fuente. I like that he's Mensa, and is very bright/outgoing. Fuente though has had a decent run for about a couple of years at a big time shite school where Porter did nothing. They're both quite young still (late 30's) and I kind of like the idea of bringing in a younger guy, albeit risky.

Fedora has a longer HC history but only his last year at USM and this year at NC are noteworthy. Clearly Chizik has been a huge boon to him. Also Saban is a fan, so that is nice, and he's around 50 so not very old.

I guess my realistic list right now would be:

Fisher
Mullen
Mora
Herman
Fedora
Fuente

I don't care who it is hire peveto for all I care. I'm just tired of seeing under productive offense at least since 2010 with zero to no change

Anybody get a Mark Richt feel from Fuente?

Really chill guy, OC in his previous life. Yeah Richt never had that mid-major stop, but I could see Fuente with the same type of long term success mixed with frustration that Richt has brought.

I can't get excited about Cousin Eddie. His record is 54–34. 26–29 in the SEC. He has had Dak starting for 3 years. His other main claim to fame is Tebow. He is good with big dual threat qbs. I get that. How is he when he doesn't have that rare skill set?

From evrerything I have read on this board, one person or another seems to believe it will NOT be an SEC coach, Jimbo Fisher, anyone who hasnt been a head coach or Fuente and Herman. Who does that leave thats worth a shite.

I just read on 247 that Jimbo and his wife Candi fly to Louisiana to see a specific doctor for their young son who has Fanconi Anemia. They are insistent on this particular doctor.

There is a reason Houston is throwing so much money at him.

He is definitely a good coach, AND Houston stands a good chance of getting picked up by the Big 12 if they miss out due to no Championship Game again.
