According to the Texas mods on 247 if Texas wins the next 2 games against Kansas and TCU Charlie Strong keeps his job.

Don't tell him that. Even though several known to be connected texas folks have said this, there are some who insist it's just not true. Tom Herman has a blank check. Texas may want to get their check back if that's true lol

All things being equal, Aranda has a GREAT thing going at LSU right now and talent galore. If the pay is the same, i see no reason he would go to the hell hole that is UT defense right now.
...yes, UT is a dumpster fire. Tom Herman is a smart man. He'll take the LSU job and he & his buddy Dave will put some hardware in our trophy case.

Not at LSU he isn't! Why because he ain't here yet. Now does he have negotiating power

So you agree, great.

I know you will keep going back to the argument "NO COACH WANTS TO BE TOLD WHO HE HAS TO KEEP" bullshite.

Excellent, you've done nothing to refute anything I've said so you just resort to calling it bullshite.

But you have to think they are forcing Aranda down Fisher's throat and I truly don't think that is the case in anyway shape or form!

It has been stated, not by me, that the stipulation is Aranda has to be retained at a specific title and salary. I've said from the beginning Jimbo would most likely want to keep him anyway, but can still recognize that making that sort of demand is foolish from the LSU side. Some people apparently aren't capable of separating the two concepts. If it makes it easier for you to understand replace Aranda's name with a successful, yet not as dominant, DC and listen to what it sounds like from the coach's side. This is not some scrub from Idaho Tech. He is a successful HC with multiple conference championships and a national championship at a top tier program. LSU is asking him to come here, not the other way around.

Never mind, if you believe what Random Hero writes - I WAS RIGHT, YOU WERE WRONG!!!!

You can type it in caps all you want but nothing you or Random said disagrees or refutes anything I've posted. I've said all along Fisher would likely want to retain him anyway.

So with Jimbo, Herman out of the mix, it appears we have our coach and it's the guy leading us to the Sugar Bowl.

I am going to stick with my guy who is a huge booster at UT that is connected big time with the Athletic Department. He said it is a done deal Strong will not be coaching at UT next year. Could he be wrong? Possibly, but I am willing to put money on it he isn't. And I promise you he knows more than any mod on 247 when it comes to UT.

So with Jimbo

I've read this twice from you tonight. What am I missing?

He has a standing offer and just has to accept it. Are you actually reading these threads?
