you realize if this is a lump sum payout, the $27 million is actually worth closer to $45 million if invested after 6 years.
Then if it takes out the clause of finding a new job and only covering the difference, he could end up easily over $53 million. This is likely just a win win negotiation to just be done and split. Unless it is still paid out over 6 years.

I think the real story here is although DD couldn’t quite win a title after many appearances, her family still did massive good for LSU in saving us from the huge buyout.
