Ya, frick that guy for maybe wanting to rise up the coaching ranks and run a defense or entire team

Not what I am saying. If he never moves up the coaching ranks life is still pretty sweet for him.

Henry might be available soon to coach WRs with McAdoo about to be fired by the Giants.

yeah i just find it hard to believe canada would walk away from the money LSU is paying him. and it would be a bad look for O to fire the dude after year 1. i hope canada sticks around because i want to see what he can do with brennan/narcisse.

DL Coach: Pete Jenkins - retires. They'll try to steal Alabama's DL coach. A top target for them should be Byron "Bam" Hardmon from Troy who played at Florida not too long ago

You mean former LSU great, Karl Dunbar? That would be a nice pick up if/when Jenkins leaves.

No sources, just a hunch, but I think Canada tries to go elsewhere. Likely a lower-level HC job (if he can get it). (A) I think he wants to be a HC and (B) there does some to be some friction. Whether that is overblown or not, who knows.

Just for fun, it would be interesting to see who O would get. I suspect it would be one of "his guys" since the Canada hire seemed a bit forced after Kiffen fell through. To that end, I think he would love to hire Hugh Freeze as HC. But there might be a few problems that could arise.

Sarkisian is another name that would maybe come up. However, the Falcons aren't too thrilled with him at the moment.

Bro. Canada isn't going anywhere.

Grimes should be let go asap.
Aranda needs a blank check.
Raymond needs a raise.

I'm not sure who the lead recruiter is out west but we need someone in the Cali area.

I wasn't a fan of the Mickey Joseph hire but if Jimmy Smith is to be believed, Joseph has gotten LSU back in the good graces of the NOLA high school coaches. I don't think it would be a good move to send him packing after one season.

Head Coach: Ed Orgeron retained

General Manager: Austin Thomas - retained (should be given raise, but i think he will leave soon for NFL job (draft specialist or something)

Offensive Coordinator: Matt Canada has 3 solid years easily.. not firing that guy... once he gets his QB our offense will be very good.. he has done well with a limited Etling..

OL Coach: Jeff Grimes, dont think he is going anywhere, is a good coach and good recruiter, has done a good job getting the line better this year and i think he an orgeron get along, if he does go, id expect Canada to have a say in the next hiring..

RB Coach: Tommie Robinson - is Oregerons guy, oregeron brought him in for his recruiting abilities.. this guy is going no where.. safest guy on staff besides Aranda and Raymond unless he wants to leave..

WR Coach: Mickey Joseph - Has to produce results on signing day, he is a recruiter first and foremost, he was hired to bring in the New Orleans kids..simple as that.

TE Coach: Steve Ensminger - is good till he retires..

Defensive Coordinator: Dave Aranda i think next year will be his last year.. when that happens its over for Oregeron..

DL Coach: Pete Jenkins - prob has one more year with Aranda

LB Coach: Dennis Johnson - is now Arandas guy

DB Coach: Corey Raymond - if he doesnt get the DC job when Aranda leaves, he will leave.. that is what he is waiting on...

the OP is an idiot..

OC Matt Canada - gone

by all accounts, he and O were at odds, likely still are. They're grown men, you dont come back from that. I've been there, you finish out the season, and then you walkaway. Money isnt an issue, take UT for example. You think the Horns would hesitate for a second to match/beat that money?

You think Canada is gonna walk away from that kind of money because of an argument with his boss?

How many other schools (a) have deep pockets & (b) looking for a new OC? More than a few

I find it really hard to believe anyone is going to match close to what he's making at lsu. He could always walk but I have a hard time seeing it.

Having deep pockets and being willing to buy out an expensive contract at the same time as handing out an even bigger contract is two different things. Especially when most big money schools have head coaches that have their hands in the offense and don't need to spend that money on a coordinator.
