Corey fricking Raymond

I see two problems here:

Raymond has never been a coordinator. I think after the Pelini debacle you can't take a chance on someone who has never been a coordinator.

The other issue is if Raymond is promoted to DC and does a lousy job he gets fired and now you've lost a solid DB coach and great recruiter.

Not worth the gamble in my opinion.

I like Ryan Nielsen now.

He’s an outstanding DL coach and has experience in DC and recruiting coordinator.

His Defensive lines have been very good and aggressive leading in sacks.

It all starts with the DL.

Nielsen is who would need to go full bore after, the only question would be is he interested in the job.

Somebody said he already turned down an interview request.

Ugh, he could end up being fine but Odom just doesn't excite me at all. It's also possible he ends being a disaster too.

While I do agree Pelini 2.0 was terrible this is just ignorant! Pelini hadn’t coach in the sec for over a decade!
Boom has been coach in the sec as a head coach and had some damn good defenses over those years! Didn’t say he was my top choice just said a choice! The top choice passed!

Regardless of the hire, how much LSU coaches work together and improves defensively won’t known until the games are played. Maybe sooner in practice.

I think Pelini is still available - if the money is right, of course.

did something really bad at Michigan off the field. Isn’t returning

Won’t be coaching for a while if ever

Maybe Ed should begin his own coaches rehab program. Shoop would come cheap.

No idea what Shoop did. If illegal or hurting children, then never mind.
