The search has been a nightmare full of speculation. It is basketball season now in college. Done caring about the search.

There's no proof of a lack of urgency in the search.
It is not at all clear to me that LSU has a person, a timetable or a strategy.
By the same token, if they do have their man chosen, we seem to be losing some recruiting opportunities in a down year by virtue of delay.

One way or the other, this search will be a test of the competency of Miles et al.
A couple of years ago, everyone thought he hit a homer in Cameron, which was his last test.
This one will likely be examined more carefully.

Could be Zook.

This has been one of the more interesting coaching searches I have ever followed. The facts that the program is at a crossroads and so much is riding on this hire has raised the stakes and anticipation surrounding it.

One thing is for sure: if Les takes several weeks to hire Brick Haley it will not be well received around here.

Could it really not be announced zoom is coming to LSU after his year is done, is it that necessary to keep the special teams assistant on the wraps

My thoughts also. No need to keep zook quiet.

The most likely scenario is that it is an NFL coach on a staff that was fired...and that person is waiting to see what comes available before accepting the job.

I don't think we should assume that Hannagriff's comments are accurate.

but the longer this drags out opens it up to a lot of questions.

so.

the questions will be answered in due time. imo, the key is to get the right hire. if our recruits and our fans have to wait awhile so be it.

the risk associated with making a knee jerk hire is much higher than the reward.

If Miles goes another week without a DC?

If Polanski is correct then it's almost certainly an NFL coach. Nobody fits the profile than Zook. I know LSU sources have denied but it's only to protect him until his seasons over.

Daly was grad assiatant with les at ok state. Les gave him his start. A guess but makes a lot of sense.

Belichek heaps praise on the guy. Terrific d line coach.

Texas A&M still hasn't hired a defensive line coach either. In fact that search has been strangely silent.
