C.
and when he loses 3-4 in a rebuilding year next year he will be on the hot seat since our fan base is already divided about hiring him. He's being put in a position to fail.

I would support any coach LSU hires but will not be excited if it is Fisher.

exactly, I would be off the hook excited and with anticipation for the 2017 season with a Herman or even Fleck hire. Even Orgeron (if LSU wins out) would have me pumped after seeing the way can take charge of this team.
But a Fisher hire is just so blase'. He's a slightly updated more modern Les Miles, but with less personality and ethics. But I think we would still be able to win a title with Fisher, just definitely isn't going to build a dynasty like Herman or Fleck possibly could.

If we hire Fisher what an embarrassment to the state of Louisiana it would be to make a coach one of the 3 highest paid in all of college football and go bust.

As for the OP 's question, (pre supposing that Herman is not available) A., I would be pretty happy and confident we hired a solid coach. A coach who can be a strong leader, recruiter, motivator, and lets his coordinators handle the x's and o's.
I see a coach that can keep his players focused and ready for each and every game. No peaks or valleys, just a steady climb to the top.

If Herman is available and we pass for Orgeron, I would be disappointed, (B)

If we take Fisher my answer would also be (B)

Herman or Fleck (A+)
Orgeron (A)
Fisher (B)
Fedora(B)

I will wait and see. It isn't the end of the world. But hopefully it will be a lesson to the administration and to the fanbase that we shouldn't veer away from the metric that brought us success in the recent past. We hired 2 NC winning coaches in a row, coaches who did moderately well at historical also-rans. Why veer from that?

Jimbo Fisher is, by far, the "safest" choice for LSU. (This is assuming Chip Kelly isn't interested.)

I prefer Herman to Fleck, but a young offensive coach would at least be fun. If there's one complaint I think everyone has, it's that LSU has been offensively dull for a very long time.

you literally have no idea what you are talking about. He is not even in the same fricking stratosphere as Les Miles. They are inherently different, to the core.

Stop spewing this dumb shite. It makes you look like a total fricking idiot.

Why should it? This is Louisiana. I'm not surprised by it in the least.
