Aranda should have been one of the top 3 choices
He is a major key to our future.
Period!
If you need that explained, your understanding of winning football is not a strong suit.

I hope coach O gets the job and hires a great offensive coordinator and LSU will be a national contender every year with the recruiting ability of coach O.

Good to see 60+% of our fans rationale.

This poll has to be getting trolled by other teams fans. No way 2/3 of people want O. I know LSU fans are idiots but not that big of idiots

After voting O, I paused then shortly came to the same conclusion

Can't make my mind up on above vs. CEO. Keeping assistants so damn important, so if CEO would be deciding factor there (i.e. new coach wants to clean house), then the decision is easy.

The results of the poll make me sad.

This poll is not a good idea, Chicken.
Opposing fans will troll and vote for O.

Orgeron is a booby prize but I would rather take a few years of him until we get who we want than chasing every name in the country and getting told no.
If the athletic department is making a hard play for Herman and Jimbo but getting dicked around by their representation as the other thread implies, why keep boosting salaries for every other coach instead of taking Orgeron and giving him a low salary with incentives to prove himself as is rumored?
Of the other contenders, I would go with Fedora, Fuentes, Gundy, and Holgerson in that order. Holgerson in particular is trouble waiting to happen on a Bobby Petrino level.

Mac is a super nice guy and a great coach. I'd rather he come here than Tennessee down the road.
Hiring O is like hiring a strength coach. He's clapping and yawing to one of the best jobs in America.
Taggart would be fine, Fleck could be good, Fedora mediocre, O disaster. Gundy would do well I think, clearly the safest of this bunch of you ask me. I think he'd win
Otherwise I'd Fleck and hope, he has the most potential. I think he'd do fine. Good administrative skills, good recruiter, and I've read he runs the best practices of any small school that NFL scouts have ever seen. Efficient like an Alabama. Just don't know how he'd do in the south, and his best skills don't seem to translate to an already winning program.

Chris Peterson is who I am voting for. He put Boise on the map and turned Washington around.

The remains of Bill Arnsparger.

It's sad when opposing fans can see what our own are too blind and stupid to see
