Chavis is the best DC they've had in quite a while. Just like he was one of the best we've had, notwithstanding our recent upgrade.

LSU fans are so insecure when a coach voluntarily leaves.

Chavis didn't voluntarily leave. Alleva ran his fat arse out of town.
ETA: With the exception of Jimbo, Pelini , Holmes & McGhe, every assistant that left under Les "voluntarily " was run off.

These two do not belong in the same sentence together. Aranda's on the fly adjustments are unbelievable. Chief went in with a game plan, and exited the building without much deviation if any at all. Chavis' loved the prevent us from winning tight game ending Def.

Chavis is one of the best DCS ever. Don't be rediculous. Chavis's defenses also produce TURNOVERS. Aranda did great this year. He also had a defense loaded with nfl talent at every position. Next year will be more revealing. Hopefully more of the same but come on... dont dog chavis.

No he's not he's as good as his talent is, and he's been the most blessed coach in the history of CFB in terms of elite NFL talent being given to his lazy arse for his entire career. How'd he look in 2013 or at A&M without a loaded NFL caliber defense?

If he was "one of the best DC's ever" he wouldn't look like shite in years that he doesn't have 11 future NFL starters to make him look great.

Players win games not coaches

What does that have to do with whether or not Chavis is overrated? You just injected a random phrase taken out of context from Canada's interview last night into this conversation. Players win games when they're well-coached, a mediocre or shitty coach can still ruin the chances of "good enough" players having a great season a la Chavis in 2013
