Speculation/one man's opinion. Twitter late Sat (12/27) night:

@SeniorBowlPhil: IMO, Jimbo Fisher had eyes for @LSUfball if Les Miles left for Michigan. When JF re-upped through 2022 last Tue = Jim Harbaugh to Ann Arbor.

Or Jimbo would just rather be at FSU...which is the more likely explanation

Possible. I also think when Les pulled his name out it was a tea leaf for Harbaugh being a done deal. Information spreads like that between coaches and agents.

Les Miles is a far better coach than Jimbo Fisher.

Except Jimbo doesn't detest 1/3 of the game.

What about Saban? Any chance he could come back?

Feel Bad For Les Miles
(Posted on 12/15/14 at 9:40 pm)

He missed his dream job (Michigan). It is Michigan admin's fault to not make it happen the last two times.

It is impossible the Michigan job will be reopened before he retires.

I really feel bad for him. But happy for you LSU fans, you get a great coach.

JH is heading to Ann Arbor. It is a done deal now.

Would have had to fight Jon Gruden for it.

The key to this year's coach carousel is held by Michigan.

Just think about it, if Michigan does not land JH, Les to Michigan, Jimbo to LSU... how spectacular the nuclear chain reactions will be.

A lot of recruiting classes will be ruined.

Jumbo just went undefeated in back to back seasons. Les cannot develop the most important position on the field prepare to go 8-4 every year.

Everyone knows that if Miles left for Michigan it would have caused a winner-take-all cage match between Fisher, Saban, and Jon Gruden for the LSU job.

Jimbo Fisher would not go undefeated in SEC play.
