If JL Smith can almost beat Miles then Chris Petersen should be undefeated for his entire duration as coach against him.

Good rationale, however I am not counting or believing this until I see him in Arkansas.

Petersen is one of the best X's and O's coaches in college, and doing more with less IMO.

Exactly what Arkansas needs with lack of in state recruiting.

Similar to Bobby, only more balanced on both sides.

Would celebrate for days IF we get Chris.

I was worried about recruiting as well then I realized he had more kids from Texas in Boise than we did in Fayetteville. to you, seem to be a good poster.

Do you feel like he can win recruiting battles in the SECW? Honest question

Tough transition from coaching up 2 and 3 stars to beating SECW schools for the 4s and 5s

Great scheme coach, but he would need a strong SEC experienced staff to get going. He would definitely need a frank Wilson type guy on staff. Preferably a Texas frank Wilson type

That's the risk involved, can he come in and get respectable recruiting classes?

I would be really interested to see his DC, DL and OL coaches. Good SEC type hires there and it all falls into place for you guys

Petersen has done well with no recruiting advantages. That's the main reason I have a want for him.

Think Caldwell will stay on staff for DE's at least. Petersen has a history of his Oc's and DC's getting hired away without the financial backing that we can provide.

Sure and that is a huge plus. If there are no disadvantages then can he deliver? That is the only question I would have

He runs a clean program and wins with class. That would be great for the SEC. I am tired of the perception that the SEC is filled with cheaters. In that regard Peterson > Petrino

Didn't Boise State get in trouble and have someone ineligible during the Cam Newton firestorm or something?

I think they let the kid have 3 bagels on his recruiting visit instead of the NCAA allowed maximum of 2 bagels for breakfast or something.

I don't know, I remember them having a minor infraction and getting hit for it so that they could really show Auburn a lesson.

If I remember, Boise kinda got hammered. I think a lack of institutional control was put on em, and the tennis teams were made out to be rogues. Really minor stuff by comparison to SEC standards.

the melt down from Vol fans is hilarious. They all want to be but can not be the flagship. Vandy is hard to live up to.

If we come out on top of this the offseason will be even more fun than last year.
