Don't know a lot about Sloan. How good is he?

Wasn’t a very good OC

La Tech’s Total Offense rankings the 2 years he was the OC:

2020: 78th
2021: 71st

Not sure how that translates to his QB coaching

He can’t admit that Orgeron was way out of his league and didn’t contribute shite except as an overpaid sideline cheerleader.

I would expect them to be on field coaches but maybe they will be just analysts. You're correct they haven't been officially given those jobs yet though.

I don't know a lot about him but looking at the list here he seems very young and potential to be a very good recruiter in N LA? I would think QB development isn't as big of a concern as BK will likely have a hand in this regardless who the coach is. This looks more like a recruiting hire to me seeing as how young he is and targeting a specific region. I could be wrong on the coaching though.

Sloan is a good pickup. Good guy, good coach, but it was laughable for him to be in the conversation for Tech HC.

Please tell me who is part of this stable of running backs to pound the ball???
And Bech is not and will never be a TE.

All fanbases hate their offensive coordinator. It really means nothing.

Have you not paid attention to who they've recruited? They have several very high potential RBs on the roster. They may also end up with Citizen in this class. Bech is not a true TE but he's perfect in a role similar to how Gilbert was used. He's a tweener hybrid and in Denbrock's scheme, the TE is involved in everything. Bech would feast in that role. He doesn't need to be a true TE as long as he's a capable blocker too.

Just because Denbrock ran his scheme like he did at Cinc doesn't mean it will match how LSU uses it. They may have his footprints in the scheme but it's going to be BK to mold it with him. The guy has been around football a long time...I'm sure he knows how to adjust scheme to player personnel strengths.

No, you wanted us to retain the Ogre and have a convicted felon conducting the coaching interviews. Your opinions on the coaching staff are about as meaningful and accurate as a Peej hurricane forecast.

Is that really his philosophy?

It wasn’t at GVS or Cincinnati, and while he did use more 2 TE formations at ND, he used them in the passing game not just as blockers like way Miles did. And I think that was more out of necessity anyway honestly.

CBK sold Brennan and Boutte on what he wants to do on offense, not to mention the Howard’s, so I’m more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here, even as someone who was 100% on the offense/QB guru as HC train before Kelly was hired.

The guy is clearly here to run this program with professionalism and that’s more important than any particular philosophy at the moment imo.

This will be Kelly’s offense, denbrock will do what CBK tells him to do. I was much more interested in the dc hire, as house will have total autonomy.

Kelly hasn't been anywhere near pass first for a long time. Also I'd give the benefit of the doubt on this issue except he hired a run guy in Denbrock.
