People talking about Aranda being next in line coach

I like the guy and all but we need to hire a coach that is known for his offense not defense. Thought I would never say this, but we need a Big 12 kind of coach, or coaches known for having a passing game, like Gundy. I mean it can't get much worse than what we have right now.

Why?
Couldn't we have a defensive minded coach as the HC who then understands the importance of hiring a great OC who can test the defenses in the SEC?

I know but I think a head coach that rubs well with his offense and leaves a guy like Aranda alone with the defense would be a good move for our program right now

You can have a defensive mastermind with the self awareness to open up his offense to adjust and sustain long term success

literally the nantional championship this year was 2 defensive minded coaches who surround themselves with good OCs

Georgia and Bama did just fine with defensive HCs.

One of our last defensive minded coaches did pretty well. Nick Saban , maybe you’ve heard of him?

If the QB switch doesn't happen Daboll is fired before they get to Tuscaloosa. In fact, I'll be shocked if he's back next year regardless. And Georgia fans have a very rocky relationship with Chaney. If Eason doesn't go down and plays the entire season there's no guarantee it all plays out the same. Tua/Fromm are going to make anybody look good calling plays

I totally agree. You cannot win a championship anymore with a defensive-minded head coach. You only need to look as far as last night's championship game as proof that it is offensive-minded coaches that win the SEC and national championships. Wait, are Georgia and Alabama both led by defensive-minded coaches? Well shite! I take it all back.
