I texted Bo Pelini and asked any truth to the “Football Scoop” report of him being a strong candidate for LSU defensive coordinator position.
BO: No....I am not interested in that job
BO: No....Coach O is not interested in me
BO: No...I am already the DC at LSU. Just waiting on the announcement. I am NOT a "candidate"
Lots of ways for the obsessed to parse his "no"

What's the upside for Pelini to lie about this?

No...he's not a "strong" candidate. This is easy.

Has anyone ever said "Yes, I am a candidate for the job." while employed elesewhere?

Could mean Richard has accepted position in principle, but working out compensation and exit clauses...

Someone said Pelini was only going to leave his current spot if his brother was allowed to replace him as head coach. Idk how that makes any sense that he could leverage them into hiring who he wants though

He could have just not replied. I don't think it's going to be Pelini.
