Pace yourselves. We're facing a 2-3 month span before a hire is announced

This isn't gonna be a baseball search where the coach is hired in a few weeks. Everybody is still coaching. The earliest we might see something is after conference championships in the first week of December. On the later end, it could be January if a candidate wants to keep it quiet and coach a high profile bowl game
You're also going to see names pop up on Twitter that are nothing more than coaches agents trying to leverage an extension out of their current job.
Pretend the coaching hire is an 8 p.m. kickoff and today is showing up at 7 a.m. to tailgate.

If our guy isn't in a conference Championship game/NY6 contention you might see it after the final game Thanksgiving weekend. It could drag on longer though.

There’s this little thing called early signing day that means a January hire is untenable. That’s for dumpster-fire programs and schools that botch their coaching searches.
